Hostmatic
LISTING AUDIT · CHANGE TRACKING

See what changed
on your listing.

Every time you run a Listing Audit — or a Pricing Comparison, Availability, or Local Rank scan — Hostmatic quietly compares it to your last scan. Price, rating, reviews, title, photos, amenities, and your Superhost/Guest Favorite badges. When something moves, it shows up right on your audit report — free, automatic, nothing to set up.

WHAT WE TRACK

Everything that shapes whether a guest books.

Field-by-field comparison against your last scan of the same listing.

Price & policy

Nightly rate, minimum-nights requirement, and cancellation policy — the terms guests see before they book.

Reviews & rating

Review count and overall rating. A drop to exactly zero is treated as a likely scrape hiccup, not a real change, so you're never chasing a phantom drop.

Content

Title, description, cover photo, full photo set, and amenities. We detect that something changed even when the specific new wording or image isn't shown.

Badges

Superhost status and Guest Favorite — flagged distinctly from price/rating changes since a badge flip isn't simply "better" or "worse."

HOW IT WORKS

No wizard. No schedule. Just a quiet diff.

Runs in the background

Every Listing Audit, Pricing Comparison, Availability, or Local Rank scan snapshots your listing and compares it to the last snapshot on file.

Free — no setup

It's a byproduct of scans you're already running. Nothing to configure, no separate plan or credits required.

You control the timing

There's no scheduled re-scan or timed test window. Re-run your Listing Audit whenever you want the freshest comparison.

Shown on your audit report

A "What Changed" timeline appears right on your Listing Audit history page — dated, sourced, and field-by-field.

Built to avoid false alarms

Fields that are null or missing on either side are skipped entirely — we never guess at a change we can't actually confirm.

FAQ

Common questions

Is this an A/B test?+

No. Airbnb serves one listing to every visitor — there's no way to split traffic between two variants on a single URL. What Hostmatic does instead is track what changed over time on your one listing, so you can see whether your metrics moved after an edit. It's observational, not a controlled experiment.

How do I use it to see if a change worked?+

Make the edit yourself in your Airbnb host dashboard — new title, new cover photo, a price change — then re-run a Listing Audit (or let your next scan run naturally). Hostmatic will show you exactly what changed and when, compared to the last time you scanned.

Does it prove the change caused the result?+

No — it shows you what changed and lets you draw your own conclusion alongside your other metrics (position, bookings). It does not run statistical significance testing or declare a winner; that would require controlled variants, which isn't possible on a single Airbnb listing.

What exactly does it track?+

Nightly price, minimum nights, cancellation policy, rating, review count, title, description, cover photo, full photo set, amenities, Superhost status, and Guest Favorite badge.

Is this a paid feature?+

No — it's free. It rides along on scans you're already running (Listing Audit, Pricing Comparison, Availability, or Local Rank), so there's no extra cost or credit charge.

Does it re-scan automatically?+

Not on a schedule — today it compares snapshots from scans you run yourself. If you want to see what's changed, re-run a Listing Audit and check the What Changed timeline on that listing's report.
