Available on all plans. Enhanced analytics (device, browser, geo, referrer) require Pro Host.

Note: This is the analytics view. To create or manage your short links, use the Link Shortener tool.

How to Access

  1. In the sidebar, click Insights to expand the menu
  2. Under Core Analytics, click Link Performance

What You'll See on the Page

  • All-links overview — total clicks, unique clicks, and click-to-booking rate across every link you've created in the selected date range
  • Top links table — every short link with its destination, total clicks, unique clicks, and (when bookings are attributed) bookings driven
  • Click timeline chart — clicks per day so you can spot spikes
  • Device breakdown (Pro only) — mobile vs desktop vs tablet
  • Browser & OS breakdown (Pro only)
  • Geo breakdown (Pro only) — clicks by country and region
  • Referrer breakdown (Pro only) — what site or app the click came from
  • Date range selector in the top-right (plan-capped: Free 90 days, Weekend 180, Pro 365)

What's a "Unique Click"

A unique click is one click per fingerprint per day. The fingerprint is a hashed combination of IP, user-agent, and language settings — it's privacy-safe and doesn't identify a specific person, but it does let us deduplicate the most common kind of double-counting (someone clicks a link, sees it didn't load, taps it again).

You'll usually see clicks ≈ 1.1–1.3× unique clicks. If your clicks-to-uniques ratio is much higher, you may have a bot problem on that link.

Sort by:

  • Total clicks — to find your highest-traffic links
  • Bookings driven — to find the links that actually convert
  • Click-to-booking rate — to find unsung heroes (low traffic, high conversion)

A link with 50 clicks and 3 bookings (6%) is almost always a better candidate to scale than a link with 500 clicks and 1 booking (0.2%).

Find Your Winning Channels

Group your top-performing links in your head by where you put them — Instagram bio, newsletter footer, Airbnb host profile, business card. The patterns become your acquisition playbook.

Click the timeline column on a link. If clicks dropped to zero three weeks ago, the placement broke (the post was deleted, the bio changed, the QR sticker fell off the wall). Re-place or replace.

Tie Clicks to Bookings

If you tagged your link with a Campaign when you created it, Link Performance can correlate clicks to confirmed bookings (from Guesty or Airbnb iCal data). The Bookings driven column will populate. Untagged links can show clicks but not bookings.

Tip: Always set a Campaign name when you create a short link. Without it, you'll never know which links actually drove revenue — only which ones got attention.

Enhanced Analytics (Pro Only)

Pro adds four breakdown panels:

  • Device — Are your guests on mobile? (For most STR hosts, the answer is "overwhelmingly yes.")
  • Browser & OS — Useful for debugging weird conversion patterns (e.g. an iOS-only checkout bug).
  • Geo — Which countries and regions are clicking. Often surprises hosts who thought they were a "domestic" listing.
  • Referrer — Where the click came from. Helpful for spotting links you didn't know existed (e.g. a blogger embedded your link).

Free and Weekend plans see total clicks and unique clicks, but not these breakdowns.

Requirements

  • At least one Hostmatic short link created via the Link Shortener
  • GA4 connected for accurate referrer data (Pro only)
  • Booking data (Airbnb iCal or Guesty) for click-to-booking attribution
